Details: I LOVE THIS CAR! I really dont want to sell it but it has come down to where I have no choice. It needs some TLC and I dont have the money or the time to fix it up. Motor needs some work and interior needs a little work itself. The car does start up and run but i would not recommend driving it. I parked it when i heard the timing chain making a little noise. We replaced the tentioner but that didnt fix it. BMW mechanic told me it may be the guides have gone bad. It does have a pretty good bit of miles on it so i would say best bet would be to either replace the motor or rebuild. It is a 5 speed with 211247 miles on the odometer. Details: I have a 1993 325I BMW i am selling. I have had the car since 1998. I am looking for a dependable car or van i can give to my mother in law. I estimate my vehicle is worth $3000-3500 dollars and would like to have a more family oriented vehicle for my mother in law. This vehicle is too sporty. I had a new engine installed and the car painted last year. The car has good tires on it, leather interior, however it needs to be repaired as a matter of fact it has all the bells and whistles for a 1993 model. The odometer reads 164,000 miles, but the engine i put in it only had 100,000. The heater and air conditioner works, but the air conditioner will need to be recharged. The car is very dependable but does need a little TLC to make it perfect. I had intentions of fixing it back up to the way it was before, but haven´t done it so far, so I am willing to depart with it. I am also interested in possible trading it for a 1978-81 Camaro Z-28 in similar condition. I am not desperate in selling this vehicle, so don´t insult me with low ball offers. The interior had also been modified with half cloth-half alcantara sports seats (optional upgrade to leather), an alcantara-wrapped sports steering wheel, anthracite colored cloth headliner, and aluminum ´cubed´ faux-carbon fiber interior trim (available in silver or black). The instrument gauge cluster was also modified with red needles and polished metal trim rings. In the performance department, the ZHP was equipped with the more aggressive DME tune to increase power from 225 hp (168 kW) to 235 hp (175 kW).[18] The engine redline raised from 6,500 rpm to 6,800 rpm to take advantage of the new power band and higher power output at higher RPMs.[19] As a result of the higher redline, the nut that fastens the oil pump´s sprocket came with threadlocker pre-applied from the factory to keep the nut from falling off. The car also received a shorter final drive ratio which allows for faster acceleration; 3.64 vs. 3.38 for the automatic. Car and Driver magazine track-tested the car, which returned a 0-60 mph time of 5.6 seconds and passed through the 1/4 mile in 14.3 seconds. Suspension was modified over the standard suspension with firmer springs and dampers, larger anti-roll bars, stronger front control arm ball joints, a lower ride height, and slightly more negative camber.[19] The Style 135M wheels also came equipped with the much stickier compound, Michelin Pilot Sport tires, in a staggered configuration with 225/40-18 tires in the front and 255/35-18 tires in the back.The sport package was available on all E46´s, excluding cars with the Performance package and the M3. It consisted of a three spoke sports leather steering wheel and had improved grip over the standard ´square´ steering wheel. The car was also given sport seats which provided better bolstering and support than the stock seats. They also had adjustable thigh supports and were available in manual or power. The sports package also offered 17-inch wheels standard, which came with staggered lower profile tires. Rear-wheel-drive models ordered with the Sport package also received sport suspension, which offered improved handling by way of firmer springs, a lower ride height, and tighter dampers.
